More house-in-progress pics

My co-workers are coming over to my house to watch a movie tomorrow. I live between work and the city and I have the biggest tv so I win (or is it "lose"?).

So I'm starting to really put stuff back. Like the furniture in the kitchen. Please doggies, don't eat the papasan. I sprayed it with bitter apple. The recyclables went to the dump this morning.


Since we're hanging out in the basement, the basement needs love. Ew - so do these stairs... and carpet. That'll be the next project. The basement got cleaned and de-clutterized. The laundry room looks awesome again. Cleaned the floor and since the papasan isn't in there it looks bright and huge.


The new carpeted stairs upstairs look fabulous (and feel good too!).


The computer desk looks better without the hutch. Even though I lose some storage, I did organize and de-clutter and put the extra stuff in the dressers which are now being used as file cabinets.


There's even a new "home" for the doggies. I put rug mats underneath all the rugs so they don't slide anymore. Whew.


Since I'm still shopping for table lamps, I'm using my Italian "Klimt Virgins" lamp as a table lamp. It finally gets regular use. Yaay!


And I can see the floor in my closet.
