Philly Jr Flyers play in DC

I'm waaay behind on posting stories and pictures. I had hoped to go in order, but life goes on and I keep acquiring new things to post. So this will be in stream of consciousness order.

The first weekend of January, Tyler's hockey team had a 2-game series in Washington against the Jr Capitals. Tyler played Saturday night so the boys and I headed to Arlington to catch the game. We stayed at Mr Matt's house which was close by. It was a late game, 8:30pm. And Whew! Do hockey rinks STINK! It started out pretty disappointing for the Flyers, but after a loooooong delay to fix some glass, the Jr Flyers scored 5 goals in the 2nd period. And penalties all around. Lots of fights. One of the Jr Flyers is ejected. Then, Matt gets tired and we have to leave and miss the 3rd period. Booo. I found out later that Tyler's team won. Yaay! But I missed watching the excitement of overtime that they won in. Boo. Stats for his game are here.

Sunday, we try again to hang out at Kettler Iceplex but Tyler's not playing so we head to Rosslyn for dim sum first. Yaay!


We head to the game which has just started the 2nd period. Tyler's the white helmet on the bench.


And the last guy in the lineup. His team loses on Sunday, but at least he won his game on Saturday.


It was a short trip. Didn't get to hang out much. Meh.
